An exhibition featuring Peniche bobbin lace integrated into Portuguese jewellery, fashion and footwear creations will be held on the 21st of October, starting at 7 p.m.at the MH Hotel Peniche Special emphasis on the collection “Lusitana – The new filigree tradition” where traditional Portuguese jewellery surrenders to the charm of bobbin lace. This collection brings together the detailed work of jewellers and bobbin lace makers in the execution of exclusive creations embellished with gold and diamonds.

In addition to the above-mentioned collection, some fashion creations undertaken by the students of MODATEX – Vocational Training Centre for Textile, Clothing, Confection and Wool, as well as the collection "Lovers by Bobbin Lace", a unique collection of Portuguese Cork Footwear wrapped in bobbin lace, will also be on display.
The collection emerges in order to give continuity to the existing partnership between its creator, a young Portuguese company called RUTZ – Walk in Cork, and the Peniche municipality. Lovers is a compliment to all craft lovers and a happy combination of two Portuguese soul icons: cork and bobbin lace.
